Call to Artists: Architecture and Collage Virtual Residency

About the Open Call

Kolaj Institute’s Architecture & Collage Project explores architecture as building technology, visual art, and culture. Through a series of presentations, discussion prompts, and guest speakers, participating artists will explore the 'Six Scales of Architecture' and develop new collage work. The residency includes a conversation with guest speaker Clive Knights and guidance from Seth Ter Haar and Ric Kasini Kadour. Artists will produce a final collage representing architectural ideas and complete an artist interview at the end of the program.

What is Offered

Virtual residency, mentorship, community engagement, and consideration for exhibition at Kolaj Institute Gallery in New Orleans (18 February-10 April 2027) and future publications.

Requirements

Artists over the age of 21, working with collage/architecture. Required materials: Contact info, Artist Bio (50-250 words), Statement of Artist Practice (50-300 words), 5-7 images, and statement of expectations.
