About the Open Call

During the War Stories: Collage & Conflict Virtual Collage Artist Residency, collage artists will work together to make artwork that responds to historical and contemporary war correspondence. Participating artists will research how war and peace are reported, learn about the history of political collage, and participate in weekly discussions and presentations. Artists will be invited to submit work for potential publication in Wissenschaft & Frieden issue 4/2026 and for a folio of prints by Kolaj Institute.

What is Offered

Four-week virtual residency including research, weekly feedback sessions, and opportunities for publication in Wissenschaft & Frieden and Kolaj Institute exhibitions.

Requirements

Open to any artist over the age of 21 from anywhere in the world. Applicants should be self-motivated and prepared to attend all scheduled sessions and complete assignments.
