Casa Ceiba (Ceiba Futures)

It focuses on offering a space for Indigenous, Black, Central American, and diasporic artists and cultural practitioners to slow down, listen, and create in relationship with the land and local Maya communities. The residency offers three tracks (Root, Bloom, and Dream) and emphasizes cultural exchange, reciprocity, and shared design of the stay. Sliding-scale rates and work exchange options are available.
Residency including lodging, food, studio space, materials, and connection with local cultural practitioners. Customizable to applicant's practice and intentions.
Applicants should have a practice grounded in respect, humility, and reciprocity. Must be prepared to engage respectfully with Maya communities. Note: Site is not wheelchair accessible; travel involves uneven terrain and steep surfaces.
Interested applicants must complete the official Interest Form via the Google Form provided. If selected, applicants will move to an intake form and a consultation call stage, both requiring non-refundable deposits that are later applied to the final residency cost.
