Cáceres 2031 European Capital of Culture Consortium
Rural Labs is an international residency program part of the Cáceres European Capital of Culture 2031 strategy, fostering dialogue between contemporary creation, rural sustainability, and local community memory. Selected artists will spend time between July and November 2026 at host venues to develop research, creation, or mediation projects. Artists are expected to conduct a free public activity as part of their residency.
Each artist receives accommodation, meals, workspace, production support, curatorial and community guidance, an 800 EUR stipend, and funding for international travel.
Open to visual artists, performers, sound artists, researchers, cultural mediators, and interdisciplinary professionals. Proposals should focus on situated artistic practices in dialogue with the landscape and local community.
