Centrum
The residency includes housing, studio space, a $1,500 stipend, studio visits with visiting artists and curators, resident gatherings, and an open studio event. Artists work within a semi-rustic campus environment surrounded by forests, beaches, and historic military buildings. Centrum encourages independent artistic practice while also fostering peer exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue. Residents may also connect with local partner organisations including printmaking, woodworking, publishing, and recording studios.

Applicants must be emerging visual or interdisciplinary artists based in the Pacific Northwest. Applications are submitted through Submittable and reviewed by a jury panel representing diverse artistic backgrounds and practices. The residency is free to apply for and includes housing and studio access. Applicants should be comfortable working independently in a quiet and semi-rural environment. The 2027 residency application cycle is open from 15 April to 30 June 2026.
