Chinwe Russell announces a special collaboration with Mukutan Conservancy, an initiative at the frontline of protecting endangered species, preserving biodiversity, and empowering local communities in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. This online charity art auction aims to raise $20,000 for Mukutan’s urgent conservation work. Key Dates: - Deadline to Submit Artwork: 30th Sept 2025 - Catalogue Launch & Bidding Opens: 14th Oct 2025 - Live Online Auction: 9th Nov 2025 at 6PM London (GMT) Mukutan Conservancy spans 88,000 acres and is crucial for local communities and wildlife, including migratory elephants, lions, and leopards. The funds will support vital anti-poaching and human-wildlife conflict mitigation work, including funding the anti-poaching team, caring for anti-poaching dogs, supporting a community informer network, and funding a dedicated community officer. Submissions are invited from individual artists and art galleries worldwide. Admissible works include original paintings of all styles and media, sculptures of all types, ceramics, mixed media, drawings, and textiles. Photography and digital art are not admissible. This is an online auction, and physical artworks are not required to be sent; only high-quality images are needed. Artists determine their own reserve price. Images must be high-quality JPEGs, showing the full work, the back, and an image for scale (e.g., in a studio). If work sells, the artist is responsible for arranging tracked and insured shipping, with costs covered by the buyer. Payments: 42.5% of proceeds go to the charity, 42.5% to the artist (to compensate for materials less admin fees), and 15% covers admin fees. Payments are typically processed 1-3 weeks after the auction.
