James Renwick Alliance for Craft
The Chrysalis Award is for emerging artists in the United States who are in the early stages of their professional artistic careers and have completed their training within the past five years. This includes academic programs like a BFA or MFA as well as self-directed study. The recipient receives a $5,000 unrestricted award, a one-year JRACraft membership, and the opportunity to present their work at a JRACraft event. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in their work and a strong commitment to developing their practice.

Applicants must be emerging craft artists based in the United States who have completed their training within the past five years. Artists who have been curated into major institutional exhibitions (such as the Renwick Gallery) are not eligible.
