About the Open Call

The Climate Story Fund supports compelling independent non-fiction and impact strategies that help audiences envision the just transition. Eligible formats include documentary film, non-fiction series, radio documentaries, and non-fiction podcasts. Projects must have social impact goals and secured financial support from at least one institutional funder. Short films (40 min or under) may apply for up to USD 40,000; larger projects can apply for up to USD 125,000.

What is Offered

Grants of up to USD 125,000 for production and impact activities. Short films may receive up to USD 40,000.

Requirements

Applicants must be 18+ years old. Project must be original work by independent filmmaker/company. At least one director or producer must have prior professional filmmaking experience. Projects must have secured financial support from at least one other institutional funder.

How to Apply

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) form online via the Doc Society portal. Shortlisted projects will be invited to submit a full application.
