CNCM VOCE
The Rawabet project, led by Ettijahat - Independent Culture (Beirut/Brussels) in partnership with several European cultural organizations, aims to help artists from the Arab world who have recently emigrated to Europe to develop their careers, facilitate their mobility, promote innovation, solidarity, and dismantle stereotypes. The project is supported by the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture. The CNCM VOCE's cultural project is rooted in the idea that contemporary musical creation can thrive in rural areas rich in musical tradition, like Balagne and Corsica. The center promotes intangible cultural heritage alongside innovative contemporary sound creation, encouraging hybridisation of art forms and cross-disciplinary approaches. This call is open to musicians, composers, artists, and companies with a musical project who have been established in a European country between 2015 and the present day. Eligible nationalities include: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen. Candidate artists must hold a residence permit or dual nationality authorising their residency. Other criteria include having released at least one album or EP, being a solo artist or group of 2 to 6 members maximum, and presenting an original composition (projects already broadcast are ineligible).
The CNCM VOCE welcomes musicians, composers, artists, and companies for a 10-day residency at its facilities in Pigna (Corsica) during the first quarter of 2026. The residency will culminate in an open, free performance at the Pigna Auditorium. An audio and video recording will be made of each residency, with artists rehearsing and recording a musical composition of at least 45 minutes. VOCE will supervise and provide equipment, venue, facilities, and professional support for audio/video recording. Between 3 and 4 recorded tracks will be selected for an audio compilation dedicated to the Rawabet project, with VOCE supervising mixing, mastering, and digital distribution via the Casa Editions label. Artists will also be offered performance opportunities to encourage circulation in Europe. CNCM VOCE provides: logistical, administrative, and legal support; transportation from port to port (special conditions may apply); accommodation and meals; a gross remuneration of €850 per musician; access to the Auditorium di Pigna and music rooms; adapted stage management support from sound and lighting technicians; a dedicated moment for cultural participation with local audiences; invitation to the centre's events; audiovisual recording of the residency presentation (for non-commercial artist use); and audio recording for commercial and non-commercial artist use (for selected tracks, mixed and mastered). SACEM or SACD regulations apply.
