About the Open Call

Comfort Station is seeking proposals for solo, two-person, and group exhibitions for their 2026 cycle. Due to building renovations, exhibitions will run from August through December. Artists are encouraged to propose work that utilizes the public building and context, keeping in mind the high volume of other programmed events (25+ per month) that occur in the gallery space.

What is Offered

Each artist will receive a $500 stipend.

Requirements

Open to artists based in the Chicago area only. Must provide artist/project statement and images. Work must be durable enough to withstand a multi-use public space environment.
