About the Open Call

Connecting Threads 2027 offers artists the opportunity to join Space Studio’s wider winter residency cohort, working alongside artists from different parts of India. Over four weeks, selected artists will have time and space to develop their practice, engage with a new artistic environment, and take part in a programme of studio visits, discussions, presentations, and peer exchange.

What is Offered

Return international travel support, accommodation, three meals per day, studio space, £1000 bursary, visa/travel documentation support, mentoring, and promotion.

Requirements

Open to artists based in the UK; emerging and mid-career practitioners working across visual arts, craft, design, performance, socially engaged practice, research-led practice, or interdisciplinary fields. Must be available Jan–Feb 2027.

Submit via the CuratorSpace platform including: Artist CV (max 2 pages), artist biography (250–300 words), artist statement (300–500 words), portfolio of recent work (max 10 images in a single PDF), motivation statement (500–700 words), website/social media links, contact details, and confirmation of availability.
