Fondation François Schneider
The François Schneider Foundation is launching an international competition for its new site at the Domaine de l’Abbaye de Pontigny. The competition seeks existing, completed artworks in the fields of sculpture and installation that engage with the theme of 'Earth'. Four to five winners will be selected by an international jury; their works will be acquired by the Foundation and installed in the Abbey's grounds.
Each of the 4 to 5 winners will receive a grant of €15,000, which includes the merit prize and the acquisition of the artwork for the Foundation's collection. If the artwork is a sculpture produced in multiple editions, the grant is €8,000.
Open to adult artists and collectives of all nationalities with an established professional practice (degree, exhibitions, publications). Applicants must submit an existing, completed artwork centered on the theme of Earth.
Applications must be submitted electronically via the Foundation's website using the Individual or Collective registration forms. Dossiers must be in English for non-French speakers, including CV, portfolio, statement of intent, technical sheet, and visual documentation.
