About the Open Call

The “Contrasts” contest is a fascinating exploration of tensions and harmonies present in contemporary art. It aims to highlight the dualities that characterize our existence: light and shadow, warmth and coolness, movement and stillness. The contest seeks to bring together works by emerging and established artists, both invited to explore contrast through their unique visual language. 12 artworks will be selected for a final collective exhibition. A significant opportunity for the winner is a personal exhibition in Venice. All art categories and techniques are permitted, including paintings, sculptures, mixed media, digital graphic, AI generated art, photographies, performances, and installations. The maximum size for submitted artworks is 2×2 meters. Catalogue, invitation, and press release of the final exhibition can be required.

What is Offered

Collective exhibition for 12 selected artworks, a personal exhibition prize in Venice for the winner, and inclusion in an exhibition catalogue with invitations and press releases available.

Requirements

The contest is addressed to emerging and established artists. Maximum size for artworks is 2x2 meters. All art categories and techniques are permitted.
