About the Open Call

The CONVIVIUM residency at Quinta das Relvas invites visual artists to explore how edible biodiversity and food systems can be reconceptualized through a lens of 'conviviality' and more-than-human care. The residency focuses on themes such as multispecies life, rituals, and speculative futures, with opportunities for studio work, mentorship, and exhibition participation in upcoming project events.

What is Offered

One-month residency including flights, accommodation, €1,000 residency fee, and €150 material budget.

Requirements

Open to visual artists residing in Belgium, France, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, or Spain. Requires portfolio, website/social media, and motivation letter.
