About the Open Call

The Covert Talent Development Programme for the 'Ghana' issue is a partnership between Writing Our Legacy and Writers Project of Ghana. It supports 16 participants (8 in Ghana, 8 of Ghanaian descent in the UK) through workshops, writers groups, mentoring, and publication in Covert Literary Magazine.

What is Offered

Four online creative writing workshops, one online masterclass, online writers' groups, one subsidised mentoring session, and publication in Covert 7 magazine.

Requirements

Must be Black, Asian or ethnically diverse/BPOC. Must live in Ghana or be of Ghanaian descent living in the UK. Must NOT be currently enrolled in a graduate/postgraduate creative writing programme, hold a literary agent, or have a book contract. Must be interested in writing inspired by the theme 'Ghana'.
