CreArt 3.0 OPEN CALL: ART AND ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION RESIDENCY IN LIEPĀJA (LV)

About the Open Call

Liepāja 2027 invites two visual artists for a residency from July 22 to August 19, 2026, to create site-specific works in Lāčplēša Garden that address ecological restoration and the history of the Karosta military zone. Projects should be interactive or sculptural, environmentally responsible, and intended for a short-term pop-up exhibition.

What is Offered

Includes four-week accommodation, studio space, up to 450 EUR travel grant, 1,800 EUR artist fee, and 1,125 EUR production budget.

Requirements

Applicants must be visual artists with higher education in an art-related field or equivalent professional experience. Must be associated with the CreArt Network, HDLU, or Lviv Art Council 'Dialog'.

Register as an artist on the CreArt website. Submit a single PDF containing an identity card/passport, CV, portfolio (max 10 pages/images), and a brief project proposal (max one A4 page) via the portal.
