Darkness: A Call for Dark Art, Bounty, and Decay

About the Open Call

NEW Gallery is seeking art inspired by the darkness around us for the upcoming Dark Art, Bounty, and Decay exhibition. From harvest to Halloween, any work depicting Autumn and the change of seasons, or darkness as a metaphor. Submission deadline is Sunday, September 28, 2025. Fees are $26 per submission for in-person gallery and $13 per online gallery submission. All information must be included in our submission form, including high-resolution images of your work and a brief artist statement (max 300 words). All submitted images must be labelled following this format: LastNameFirstNameTitleOfWork (ex: DoeJane_Title). Show Opening is October 19 and Closing Reception is November 14 at Art City (1400 N Halsted Ave.).
