Day use studio grants

About the Open Call

Since 2025, The Abbey Foundation has been offering six-month residencies for day use of an 850 square foot studio space, plus an 850 square foot screened-in area for large-scale works. The residency includes a $5000 stipend for materials and equipment. Residents may be expected to participate in community workshops. At the end of the residency, the artist must contribute one piece created during the program.

Requirements

Applicants must propose a project; local artists preferred as housing/travel support is not provided; residency recipient expected to contribute one created piece.
