Kolaj Institute
Kolaj Institute invites artists to research death-related folklore, rituals, and philosophies. Participants will work in community, engage in critical feedback, and explore collage as a medium to share these narratives. The program includes site visits, virtual sessions, and exhibition opportunities. Open to artists over 21 working in any medium, with a preference for social and political collage.
One-week in-person residency, research opportunities, professional curatorial feedback, potential inclusion in January or October 2027 exhibitions, and potential publication in Folklore Collage Society.
Applicants must provide contact information, artist bio (50-250 words), statement of practice (50-300 words), 5-7 images of artwork, and a statement of expectations. Must be over 21.
