Maryland Federation of Art
The Digital Explorations exhibition showcases the expanded possibilities for artists through computer software and technology. MFA welcomes all artists residing in any of the states or territories of the United States, Canada, or Mexico to submit original 2D or 3D image-based work created and/or produced through digital software. Accepted works will be featured in MFA’s Circle Gallery from January 28 – February 28, 2026. A virtual awards ceremony will be held on February 1, 2026, via Zoom. Andy Holtin, Professor of Extended Media at American University, serves as the juror. Awards totaling $1,000 will be designated by the juror. Artists will retain 70% from sales, with MFA members retaining 75%.

The call is open to all artists residing in any state or territory of the United States, Canada, or Mexico. All entries must be original works, solely completed by the artist, and created within the past three years. A maximum of six original works may be entered. Artwork previously exhibited at MFA Circle Gallery is not eligible for re-entry. The maximum size for any work, including edges or frame, is 72 inches in any direction. Artists may be asked to assist with the installation of oversized work (greater than 60 inches or over 40 lbs.).
Online entry for submissions opened on September 23, 2025. Artists are advised to view and print the downloadable prospectus for comprehensive guidelines. All entrants will receive notification by email on December 17, 2025, by 5 PM. Accepted artists will also be posted on MFA’s website.
