About the Open Call

The 'Dreams and Fantasy' is a juried art exhibition seeking submissions from artists aged 18 and older. Accepted mediums include traditional art media such as oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, gouache, egg tempera, pen and ink, drawing media (graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, scratch board, markers, metal point), digital painting, and various arts and crafts (beadwork, pottery, embroidery, floristry, batik, stained glass, two-dimensional collage, and fabric art). Submissions must not feature AI-generated content, profanity, or political artwork.

What is Offered

Each participant receives a personal page on the UPWARD gallery website, displaying submitted works, a short biography, artist statement, and links to their website and social media. Winners will be interviewed by UPWARD Gallery editors for publication in the quarterly printed edition UPWARD’s Quarterly and on the website's Interviews section. All entrants receive digital certificates, with specific certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, Merit Awards, Honorable Mention Awards, and Finalist distinctions. Selected works (1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and Merit Award) will be featured in UPWARD’s Quarterly and curated galleries on the site, and their authors will receive Social Media Promotion.

Requirements

All artists 18 and older are encouraged to submit their work. No AI, profanity or political artwork.

How to Apply
