About the Open Call
This 12-day residency supports new writers of poetry, ranging from those with no publications to those with a first book. Participants have access to optional faculty-led seminars, one-on-one mentorship, and public reading opportunities in a self-directed, flexible environment. The residency includes individual accommodation and private studio space.
What is Offered
Includes individual accommodation, a private studio, meal plan credit ($68/day), mentorship, group seminars, and access to campus facilities including the Paul D. Fleck Library and Archives and fitness centre.
Requirements
Applicants must be 18+, comfortable working autonomously, and writing in English. The program is open to writers with no publications, a few publications, or one published poetry book.
