About the Open Call

Be part of the 15th edition of East Doc Platform (EDP) – the largest industry event for documentary filmmakers in Central and Eastern Europe. We invite directors and producers to present their creative documentary projects, connect with international decision-makers and gain access to key networking opportunities.When: March 19 – March 25, 2026Where: Prague, Czech RepublicWhat: Projects from Central and Eastern EuropeDeadline for applications: November 14, 2025 (applying is free of charge)Apply now with an upcoming project (development, production, post-production)Apply now with A completed film (rough cuts, finished films)Please, read the Guidelines before you apply.You can find the list of eligible countries for submissions here.What are we looking for?Creative feature length documentary films or factual series projects from Central and Eastern Europe in development, production, or postproduction stage, as well as finished short and feature films. The selection is also open to the international productions with projects thematically bound to CEE region.Feature-length projects and series in development or in production stage are invited to participate in the 25th edition of the East Doc Forum, the region's oldest and largest central pitch. Participation includes five day-long pitch training and preparation, networking opportunities and individual meetings with invited decision makers.You may also attend East Doc Market, which brings together documentary filmmakers and international industry decision-makers through pre-arranged one-on-one meetings tailored to each project’s needs. It is now open to documentary projects both in development and for rough cuts and finished films.Within the East Doc Platform programme, one event is dedicated only to Czech documentary projects. Requirements

Creative feature length documentary films or factual series projects from Central and Eastern Europe in development, production, or postproduction stage, as well as finished short and feature films. International productions with projects thematically bound to the CEE region are also eligible. Refer to the provided guidelines for a list of eligible countries.
