About the Open Call
Elevation Film Festival celebrates emerging voices in artistic, experimental, and expanded cinema across southwest England, the UK and internationally. The festival features a weekend of screenings, talks and workshops, connecting regional and international artists in a vibrant community celebration of moving image culture. The event accepts submissions of artists' and experimental film, installation and expanded cinema performance, plus films of any genre made in Devon and Cornwall. Screenings are held at Devonport Guildhall and Market Hall venues in Plymouth, with additional installations and workshops at Maker Heights in Cornwall.

In-person screenings, artist installations, workshops, and networking opportunities with international and regional filmmakers.
Requirements
Accepts short, mid, and feature-length films with a focus on artistic, non-narrative, poetic, and experimental cinema. Films with dialogue must have English subtitles. Premiere status is not required. Digital screening copies must be provided at least three weeks before the festival.
