About the Open Call

The Emergence at All Scales (EAAS) research consortium invites proposals for new artistic works that explore complex questions regarding emergence across physics, mathematics, and related sciences. Selected fellows will work with EAAS researchers to develop their projects for the inaugural Emergence Festival in June 2027. The program offers up to €20,000 per project, curatorial support from Marijn Bril, and potential for ongoing inclusion in the EAAS digital database.

What is Offered

Production budget of up to €20,000, curatorial mentorship, access to scientific collaborators, potential university workspace, and exhibition at the Emergence Festival 2027.

Requirements

Must connect to the theme of Emergence and specific EAAS research projects; ability to engage non-specialist audiences; proof of prior contact with EAAS researchers; must participate in an annual meeting and provide a technical plan for festival presentation.
