Enza & Paola Memorial Scholarship

About the Open Call

The Enza & Paola Memorial Scholarship, named for La Romita School ’s founders, honors their legacy and artistic vision, and their desire to share the experience of art making in Italy with American students. The Scholarship is funded through donations from Alumni and is intended to help artists and writers develop their process and explore their art through exposure to authentic Italian culture provided by the workshops at La Romita. It is open to United States artists and art-educators of both visual and literary arts.

What is Offered

A scholarship covering the cost of participation in a workshop at La Romita School of Art in Italy during the 2026 season. Recipients are required to provide images and content for La Romita ’s social media about their experiences and impact on their art practice within 6 months of their workshop.

Requirements

Applicants must be United States Citizens, at least 18 years of age, and able to attend a workshop at La Romita during the 2026 season.

How to Apply

Applications open on September 21. Applicants must submit an online form including personal contact details, preferred workshop selection, a CV or resumé (doc, docx, txt, pdf, max 32MB), a one-page statement (max 5000 characters) detailing learning goals, and 3 portfolio items (images for visual artists up to 2000 pixels on longest side, under 3MB, labeled; one-page samples for writers, filename with name; max 5 files, max 64MB total). Applicants must certify U.S. citizenship and age (18+). If selected, recipients have 7 days to accept and register.
