About the Open Call

Essere means ‘to be‘ in Italian and this residency celebrates the soul of the artist with time and space to be in Tuscany. The Essere Residency is a program designed to encourage the personal and professional growth of creatives at all stages in their career, as well as those exploring new forms of self-expression. This is a place to pause, breathe and explore. Being is prioritized over doing. In this creative incubator, there is no pressure to produce or perform. We trust that by nourishing your inner life, inspired action will result.

What is Offered

Two-week residency from September 20 to October 4, 2027, inclusive of space for creative exploration, craft talks, and a supportive international community.

Requirements

The program is open to creatives at all stages in their career, as well as those exploring new forms of self-expression. Applicants should value beauty, space, and the diversity of creative people.
