About the Open Call
The ninth edition of the Almagro International Film Festival (AIFF) aims to establish a useful platform for the promotion of the audiovisual industry. AIFF provides a showcase for high-quality short format projects created for both traditional and online distribution. The festival includes official competitions for both national and international shorts, with screenings taking place in the historic city of Almagro.
What is Offered
Total cash prizes of 1,500€: 500€ for Best International Short and 1000€ for Best Spanish Short. Includes Goya Awards qualification potential.
Requirements
Films must be under 20 minutes, completed after January 1, 2025. Original versions not in Spanish must include Spanish subtitles. All selected films must provide English and Spanish subtitles. Works must not have been screened previously in the province of Ciudad Real.
How to Apply
Submissions must be made online through enabled platforms like Festhome. Short films must have completed production after January 1, 2025, and must not exceed 20 minutes in length.
