About the Open Call
The FLASH Artist Residency offers access to the Basement Gallery Space at 44AD artspace to use as a project space. The residency runs for 9 weeks from 20th April to 28th June 2026. It includes a one-week solo exhibition in the ground floor gallery and a £300 stipend for materials and expenses. The resident artist is expected to host a 1.5-hour workshop and two 1-hour informal group discussion sessions for the community. The residency aims to support artists who do not have the financial resources to maintain a studio or afford exhibition costs.
What is Offered
9-week studio space access (7am-10pm daily), 1-week solo exhibition, £300 towards materials/travel, and marketing promotion.
Requirements
Selection is based on an application and project proposal. Selected artists must deliver one workshop and two informal group discussion sessions during the residency.
