About the Open Call

Welcome to The Art League of Baytown FotoFest 2026 Juried Competition/Exhibition. The Art League of Baytown (ALB) celebrates its seventy-first year and its sixth season as a FotoFest Participating Space in 2026. The theme for this season's competition is "A Sense of Place." Noted Houston gallery owner Catherine Couturier is the juror, selecting up to 50 thematic photographs for display at the ALB gallery from March 12 through May 16, 2026. Awards will be chosen once printed photographs arrive at the gallery. The Art League of Baytown, organized in 1954 and incorporated as a Texas not-for-profit corporation in 1963, aims to promote the fine arts and create fellowship among practicing artists.

What is Offered

1st place: $350, 2nd place: $250, 3rd place: $150, 3 Honorable Mentions at $50 each. Opportunity to exhibit work at The Art League of Baytown gallery.

Requirements

Submission is open to both professional and amateur photographers working in all forms of photography. Entrants must be 18 years or older. There is no time limit on image date.

How to Apply

Submissions are now open. Register and apply through the provided link. Submit your best images fitting within the theme, regardless of when the image was taken. The entry fee is $40 for up to five (5) images, with additional images costing $6 each up to a total of 10.
