Freelands Studio Fellowships 2027

About the Open Call

The Freelands Studio Fellowship offers early career artists the opportunity to undertake a one-year, full-time, paid studio residency within an art school. Fellows receive access to studio space, mentorship, teaching experience, and a £28,000 bursary. Open to artists with a studio-based practice who have received an Undergraduate or Master's degree from one of the seven partner art schools.

Requirements

Applicants must have a studio-based practice and have received an Undergraduate or Master's degree from one of the partner art schools (Bath Spa, Birmingham City, Cardiff Metropolitan, Dundee, Falmouth, Robert Gordon, or Ulster University). PhD holders are ineligible.
