HatchSpace
The Art of Furniture Making is a comprehensive 8-week intensive program designed for experienced beginners and intermediate woodworkers. The curriculum features four modules: Keepsake Vessels, Green Wood Windsor Chair Making, Veneered Casework, and Experimental Bending. Students gain skills in traditional and advanced woodworking, sustainable forestry awareness, and design, culminating in a Certificate of Completion. The program requires full-time attendance (M-F, 9am-5pm) plus additional studio hours.
8-week intensive woodworking training including 320 clock hours of instruction, dedicated workbench space, and expert mentorship. Tuition is $7,200.
Prior woodworking experience recommended (at least a few short-term classes or relevant construction experience). Must be able to perform physical labor (lifting up to 50lbs, standing/sitting for long durations).
