Future Forward – Open Call for Student Artists

Fugue Gallery

-$1 Application Fee
-$1 Application Fee

About the Open Call

The Fugue Gallery invites student artists to submit work for our first ever Future Forward Exhibition! — a gallery group show for boundary-pushing artists who are exploring new ideas, new media, and new frontiers in art. Future Forward spotlights student artists who are asking big questions, trying new media, and breaking new ground. This open call is for emerging artists who are thinking about what’s next — in art, in culture, and the world around us. We’re looking for: unconventional or emerging media, work that challenges traditional formats, new perspectives, themes, and aesthetics, projects in progress or fully realized pieces, and ideas that look forward—artistically, socially, and philosophically.

What is Offered

Works will be featured in our 1st Edition Digital Zine, and selected works will be shown IRL at Fugue Gallery. Chosen artists will be invited to collaborate and co-create the zine and in-person exhibition. The exhibition and zine will be shared across our social platforms as part of our commitment to fostering the next wave of artistic visionaries.

Requirements

Current students enrolled in an educational art program (Bachelors, MFA, or 1+ year Certificate Program). Artists working in any medium (painting, sculpture, digital, video, sound, performance, installation, mixed media, etc.) are eligible.

How to Apply

Submit work via the Google Forms Application Form link provided on the exhibition page.
