About the Open Call

Welcome to the 7th UrbanBreak 2026 Global Artist Open Call for international and local artists! The application period is from September 15, 2025 (Wed) to November 15, 2025 (Fri) 24:00 (KST). Eligibility: Open to artists of any composition, nationality, gender, age, and genre. Application and Selection Procedure: STEP 1: Online application (Submit a form with your exhibit plan and portfolio); STEP 2: Document screening; STEP 3: In-depth face-to-face interview (face-to-face meeting for domestic residents / Zoom meeting for international residents); STEP 4: Final announcement. Selection Criteria: Alignment with Urban Break's values and vision; Differentiation from existing works (including new works premiering at Urban Break 2026); Potential for expansion of the work, including collaborations; Artist branding elements and potential of the work as IP; Creativity and originality and program operations plan; Promotional marketing plan; Feasibility of the exhibition operation plan. If you submit all Form applications, participation applications, exhibition plans, and portfolios on this page, the application will be completed normally and text or e-mail will not be sent to you.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete an online application, which includes submitting an exhibition plan and a portfolio. The exhibition plan template can be downloaded from the provided link. All submitted files must be converted to PDF and not exceed 100MB. The application form requires consent to personal information use.
