About the Open Call

GlogauAIR is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 by Chema Alvargonzalez. It aims to create a meeting point for artists from all disciplines to collaborate and expand their practice while exploring Berlin. The residency fosters the development of artists' work and provides opportunities for sharing ideas. On-site Residency: Located in a historicist building in Kreuzberg, Berlin, the on-site program offers 13 fully equipped studios with shared kitchens, bathrooms, and WIFI. Basic expenses like utilities are included. Artists receive curatorial and technical support, a diverse program for professional development, and the chance to interact with a dynamic international community. The program operates under the tenets of 'Explore, Create, Exhibit', including influences from Berlin's contemporary culture. On-site Residency Costs: Accommodation: 700 € / month (900 € / month for artistic duos). Program Fee: 1,500 € per quarter (paid 1 month in advance). Deposit guarantee: 1,000 € (refundable). On-line Residency: Designed for artists unable to travel, this flexible program allows artists to continue working from their existing setting while receiving international exchange and professional support. It includes weekly curatorial support and mentoring, group meetings, expert talks, and workshops. Residents are assigned a curator based on location and time zone. On-line Residency Costs: Program Fee: 900 € (can be paid in three installments). Both programs offer participation in a network of international alumni.

What is Offered
