About the Open Call

GlogauAIR is a non-profit art space and residency in a historic building in Kreuzberg, Berlin, open to new ideas. Artists are required to present work at Open Studios during their residency term. The residency is self-funded, and artists are responsible for securing their own financial support and visa if required. Applicants must submit an artist statement, CV, work samples (images, video/sound links), a project description for their time at GlogauAIR, and an outline of their funding plans. The program offers 3-month and 6-month residency terms.

Requirements

Artists are required to present work and attend each Open Studios within their residency period; failure to do so may result in charges. Applicants must indicate their English language proficiency and are responsible for organizing their own funding and visa if required. The program is open to individual artists and artistic duos.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete an online application form providing personal data, current address, contact details (website, Instagram optional), preferred residency term, and how they learned about the program. The application requires an artist statement (max. 600 characters), a summarized CV (max. 1000 characters), selection of artistic practices, 1-3 work sample images (JPG, GIF, PNG, max 2MB each), links to video/sound samples, a project description (max. 600 characters) for the residency, and an optional portfolio/detailed proposal file (DOC, DOCX, PDF, max 2MB). Additionally, artists must describe their funding situation and plans, including estimated budget and confirmation of self-financing, or details of secured/planned scholarships.
