About the Open Call

Manchester Music City, supported by Manchester City Council and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, is offering micro-grants for international music activity occurring between October 2026 and March 2027. The grant covers travel, accommodation, and event fees. It is aimed at independent music professionals and small businesses (fewer than 10 employees) in Greater Manchester, including artist managers, promoters, label owners, and self-employed professionals. Participants are expected to engage in planning, evaluation, and knowledge sharing to benefit the local music ecosystem.

What is Offered

Funding of up to £2,500 and optional one-to-one wraparound support for trip planning and international networking.

Requirements

Applicants must be based in Greater Manchester and operating as independent music professionals or small businesses with fewer than 10 employees. The proposed activity must take place between October 2026 and March 2027, with a commitment to shared learning and evaluation.
