About the Open Call

Dance Umbrella is seeking a Guest Curator to deliver a main event for the 2027 festival and tour it to a partner venue. They are also offering a Curatorial Fellowship for those wanting to learn the curation, production, and presentation process of a major dance festival. Both roles include mentoring, professional development, and networking.

What is Offered

Guest Curator: £12,000 fee plus travel stipend. Curatorial Fellow: £3,000 stipend plus travel and access budget.

Requirements

For Guest Curator: cultural practitioners with a passion for dance and performance. For Curatorial Fellow: someone curious about curation; no previous experience required.
