Haverstraw Historical Mural Project

About the Open Call

Professional artists or teams are invited to submit qualifications for a mural project celebrating Haverstraw's history, specifically the brickmaking industry, immigrant contributions, and Civil War legacy. The final output will be a 600-square-foot high-resolution digital file printed on vinyl. Selected finalists receive $500 for design development, with an $8,000 project budget for the winning artist.

What is Offered

$8,000 for the final mural design project; $500 design development fee for each semifinalist.

Requirements

Professional muralists or artist teams with experience in large-scale public art. Must submit concept design (PDF/JPEG/PNG), written statement, bio/resume, and portfolio of up to five relevant past projects.
