About the Open Call
Hit the Hop is an annual, open call juried exhibition. The 2026 theme, 'Lightfall', invites artists to submit work that explores how light reflects, glows, casts shadows, and transforms what it touches. All mediums are welcome. Accepted work will be exhibited at the gallery for a month-long show and during the local gallery hop. All work must be for sale, with the gallery retaining a 25% commission on sales. Awards include cash prizes for first place, second place, and a People's Choice winner.
What is Offered
First place: $500 cash prize; Second place: $200 cash prize; People's Choice Winner: $100 cash prize. Month-long gallery exhibition and feature during Gallery Hop.
Requirements
Work must be completed within the last two years. 2D works have a maximum size of 24x24 inches. 3D works have a maximum weight of 40 lbs. All work must be for sale.
