About the Open Call

The Homestead Experience Program offers two-week or month-long sessions for individuals seeking to transition to a rural lifestyle. Participants engage in hands-on tasks like animal caretaking, gardening, and basic maintenance, balanced with time for their own creative projects. Mentorship covers topics such as property acquisition, adapting to rural living as an entrepreneur, animal husbandry, and connecting with local communities. Alumni are eligible for future return opportunities and potential inclusion in the property's long-term transformation into an art colony.

What is Offered

Participants receive furnished lodging, hands-on mentorship, selected meals, and access to residency amenities, including studios, libraries, and land.

Requirements

Ideal candidates have ambition, are comfortable with physical labor (walking uneven terrain, lifting, shoveling), are not afraid of outdoor conditions, are able to follow instructions, and are seeking a long-term transition to nature-integrated living.
