Screen Service
Screen Service invites submissions of moving image works up to 30 minutes in length, created within the last three years, by artists based in or from the North West of Ireland (Donegal, Derry, Fermanagh, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Cavan, Monaghan, or Roscommon). The call, titled 'I feel how my eye turns' (from a Meret Oppenheim poem), seeks works resonating with themes of discovery, verifiability, and belief. Selected films will be screened at the Abbey Arts Centre in Ballyshannon, Donegal on September 12th, 2025, followed by a post-screening Q&A. This initiative aims to foster conversation and reflection on contemporary moving image practice in the region and is supported by Creative Ireland’s Creative Communities Programme, Creative Ireland, and Donegal County Council.
Screening fees of €80 for films under 10 minutes, and €100 for films between 10 and 30 minutes. Post-screening Q&A and space for conversation and reflection.
