About the Open Call

Each Warbling Open Call begins with a title, this time being 'I SAW IT ALL AROUND ME'. Artists are invited to interpret this title as it resonates with their ongoing practice, and submitted works will be considered in the context of the exhibition as a whole, taking shape organically from the variety of submissions received without a set theme. Warbling is an artist-run, independent platform that organises temporary exhibitions in London, UK. Eligibility extends to International, UK-based, and London-based artists, with all mediums of visual art considered and no size restrictions. Submitted work must be new within the last 3 years (2021 - 2025). Exhibition dates are 4th - 8th of September 2025. London-based artists are required to drop off artworks at 10 Greatorex Street, E1 5NF, London, on Wednesday, September 3rd, between 10 AM - 12 PM, and collect on Monday, September 8th, between 3 PM - 6 PM. Artists based outside Greater London will receive a shipping address upon confirmation, with artworks needing to arrive between August 4th - 29th. Warbling will arrange and pay for the return of artworks for artists based outside Greater London, including international artists. All selected works must be available for installation and display in London from September 3rd - 8th, 2025. The lineup announcement is scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd. While artworks will be handled with care and invigilated, Warbling is not responsible for loss or damage, and artists are encouraged to carry their own insurance. Warbling reserves the right to photograph artwork during the event for publicity and educational purposes.

What is Offered

Artists can sell their artworks and will retain a 70% commission on all sales made during the exhibition. Warbling will arrange and pay for the return of artworks to artists based outside Greater London, including international artists.

Requirements

Artists may submit up to five distinct pieces of work. Work submitted must be new within the last 3 years (2021 - 2025). Images must show the exact and complete work (no works in progress). Image uploads to be 5MB each. Video links require password if applicable.

How to Apply

Artists may submit up to five distinct pieces of work for consideration. Images should be uploaded directly to the form via the dropbox link. Videos can be submitted either by uploading directly to the form, or provide links to Vimeo, YouTube, etc. along with the password to view within the form within the section for your Artist Statment. Online entry is by card via Stripe on the website. If you're unable to pay by card and would prefer to use PayPal, please email robyn@warbling.co.uk to arrange manually. Image files should be titled: 'Title, Year, Medium, Dimensions (cm), Price (GBP£), First Name and Surname'. Images must show the exact work you are submitting and the artwork must be complete (no works in progress). Image uploads to be 5MB each.
