About the Open Call

Every year, the Institut français invites international artists to develop creative projects at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris. The scheme supports residency durations of three, six, or nine months between April 2027 and April 2028. Artists must be nominated by a cultural partner (French cultural network abroad, or cultural organizations). The call is open to professionals across various disciplines including visual arts, film, digital creation, literature, performance, design, and more.

What is Offered

Includes accommodation, studio space, a residency stipend of at least 1,100 EUR per month, international travel, health/repatriation/liability insurance, and visa fees.

Requirements

Applicants must be living abroad and be nominated by a cultural partner.
