Institute for Ideas and Imagination Fellowship 2027-2028

About the Open Call

Each year the Institute brings together a cohort of up to 15 Fellows to spend a year together in work and conversation. The Fellowship includes a $75,000 stipend for a full academic year, private office space, administrative support, and access to Columbia's libraries. Open to Columbia University faculty, post-docs, and international creative artists (who are not permanent residents of the US).

Requirements

Applicants in the creative arts category must not reside permanently in the United States. Columbia post-docs must have completed their PhD/dissertation between Sept 2024 and Dec 31, 2026. Faculty must be tenured/tenure-track or have appointments extending beyond the fellowship year.
