Estonian National Museum
The residency operates within the context of visual anthropology, examining photographs not just as images but as evolving cultural practice. Residents will focus on themes such as the archive as everyday culture, ethics and interpretation, patterns and time, and the archive as infrastructure. The process includes workshops and feedback sessions, culminating in an exhibition running from November 2026 to July 2027.
10,000€ creative grant per resident, accommodation and transport expenses for co-working periods, exhibition production costs, full archive access, and support from the museum's production team and exhibition architect.
Substantial engagement with photography, archives, or visual anthropology; availability for six months of research; willingness to collaborate; proficiency in English.
