Jungyeon Kim
For the past 20 years, dance improvisation has been at the heart of Jungyeon Kim's artistic love and passion. This Zoom session is specially designed for those who are — or wish to be — teaching dance improvisation. Participants will explore a variety of shifting movement motives from funky to soulful, experimental to communal, interlaced with short reflections. A list of the music used will be shared afterwards. This session is offered in the context of launching the 2026 program “Monthly Doses of Syllabus: Dance Improvisation”. The session (90 Minutes) will take place two times with the same contents: Friday 5th December 10:30 AM (Central European Time) and Sunday 7th December 10:30 AM (Central European Time). This session also aims to offer a space for exchange and connection among colleagues.
A free 90-minute online Zoom session exploring movement motives for dance improvisation teaching, music lists, and a space for exchange and connection among colleagues. It provides materials and inspiration for current and future facilitators.
The session is for adults of all levels who are — or wish to be — teaching dance improvisation. Some methods can be adapted for young groups or personal dance practice.
To join the online session, email Jungyeon Kim at kmjykmjy(at)gmail(dot)com using the provided draft: 'Dear Jungyeon, I would like to join the session on Friday 5th / on Sunday 7th (delete one of the two dates) at 10:30AM.
