About the Open Call

Jack O'Lantern World in Lake Zurich, IL is an annual event featuring an incredible walk through thousands of hand-carved jack o'lanterns by over 50 artisans, including Illinois' largest 1000+ lb pumpkins. The immersive, half-mile trail offers numerous photo opportunities and interactive displays. New additions for 2025 include a Fun Zone with giant inflatables and glowing mini golf, exciting pirate ship light show, and the world’s largest friendly ghost. The event also offers food and beverage options from local food trucks and a beer garden hosted by GiGi’s Playhouse. Special event nights include a Pumpkin Weigh Off U.S. National Championships, a 5K Run/Walk, and Trick or Treat Nights with candy stations. Described as 'INCREDIBLE' by WGN TV News, this event is a tradition for tens of thousands.

What is Offered

Visitors are offered an immersive experience featuring thousands of hand-carved jack o'lanterns, interactive displays, photo opportunities, a Fun Zone with inflatables and mini-golf, food trucks, and a beer garden.

Requirements

Attendees must arrive within 15 minutes of their selected start time. Tickets, printed or on phone, are required for anyone aged 3 and over. No onsite ticket sales; online purchase required. Service dogs only; no other pets. Guests must stay on the trail and not touch pumpkins, lights, or displays. The trail is one-way.
