About the Open Call
Established in 2005 in memory of distinguished documentary photographer and Honorary Fellow of The Society, Joan Wakelin, this bursary specifically funds new photographic projects for the production of a photographic essay on an overseas social documentary issue. It does not support on-going projects or those requiring travel to or within war zones. Recipients also receive the opportunity to have a portfolio of images printed by Metro Imaging upon completion of their projects.
What is Offered
A bursary of £2000 and the opportunity to have a portfolio of images printed by Metro Imaging.
Requirements
The Bursary funds new projects only. It does not support on-going projects or projects requiring travel to or within war zones.
