About the Open Call

The KDV Bootcamp, presented by Kianí Del Valle Performance Group, offers a unique opportunity for the Berlin dance community to train with company members in a community setting. The bootcamp runs from September 22nd to 26th, 2025, primarily at the Deutsches Theater, with the closing day at the Adidas Sports Base Berlin. Participants will learn from all-star members of the KDV Performance Group through a week of varied classes, including three research improvisation classes, three diverse technique classes, two body conditioning/recovery classes, and the first-ever KDV REPERTORY class featuring choreography from past productions taught by Kianí del Valle. The program includes daily warm-ups, specialized classes like Groove Decomposition, Gyrokinesis®, Snatch Point, Cuntified Motions, Break the Barre, Ecological Bodies, Embodied Poem, and Massage and Recovery. The concluding day will host an open dialogue with all KDV instructors. The full-week immersion early bird rate is 180€ until September 8th, after which the price increases to 200€. Single classes can be booked independently for 30€ each from September 9th, with priority given to full-week attendees. The bootcamp fosters an intimate and supportive environment encouraging creativity, exploration, and collaboration, providing insight into alternative training methods.

What is Offered

A week of master classes and training with Kianí del Valle and her team, including diverse technique classes, improvisation, body conditioning, and KDV repertory. Participants will gain insights into creation methods, conceptualization, and world-building, and engage in a closing community gathering and panel talk.

Requirements

Open to artists, movement researchers, and anyone curious to reconnect with their authentic corporeal expression. No prior training needed for some classes.
